Get more information about the latest announcement from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce on the Supervision of the Quality of the Export of Anti-epidemic Materials which involves the implementation of new compulsory declarations for exporters and importers.
Released on April 25, Saturday, applicable from April 26, Sunday, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce set up new measures for further strengthening the quality control of anti-epidemic materials for export, both for Medical supplies and non-Medical masks.
FOR MEDICAL SUPPLIES:
Complementing the regulation allowing companies to export anti-epidemic medical equipment, implemented on April 1, 2020, with the obligation of obtaining China's Medical Equipment Product Registration corresponding certificates and the obligation to be registered on the NPMA (find back HERE our last article for more details), a new form has been added to the process.
From now, each supplier providing medical supplies should fulfill an EXPORTATION OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES FORM IN ENGLISH AND IN CHINESE to certify that the goods sold are compliant with the standards and safety requirements of the destination’s country.

FOR NON-MEDICAL MASKS:
Both exporter and importer should fulfill a JOINT DECLARATION IN ENGLISH AND IN CHINESE to:
- declare that the goods meet the quality standards of China or the destination’s countries. The importer shall guarantee the product quality standards stipulated by the agreement are compliant with the quality requirements of the importing country/region and shall confirm it has accepted the quality standards of the products bought.
- commit to strictly abide by the agreement and not use the face masks purchased for medical purposes and to warn any third party against using the face masks for medical purposes.
